Ruben Colomer, Juan Luis Hortelano and Mariano Amartino present us their new project, Media Reload, an advertising network specialising in blogs, social networks and the new media.
It’s very interesting to read the principles upon which Media Reload is based with regards to the support and the advertisers. The principles are the ones that we all look for when it comes to advertising on our blogs, but unfortunately do not always coincide with the principles followed by the advertising agencies. Hope that at Media Reload, they will always maintain these ideas and that the work that they do from now on will help improve the business of advertising in the world of blogs.
Right from the start, Media Reload can count with two blog networks, the social network Catodicos and two important blogs: Online and Celularis.
From Loogic, I wish them lots of success to these three entrepreneurs, whom I also consider to be friends, and I know that they will do a great job with this new company and that we all will benefit from it.

Today is the presentation of Bloguzz, an initiative that could bring a lot of dynamism to the commercial blogosphere and could help companies discover that blogs could play an important role in their strategy to be visible on the internet.
Bloguzz is an initiative of four entrepreneurs who saw that they could contribute their knowledge of the sector to become a link between the companies who want to market their products or services in the blogosphere and those specialized bloggers who are interested in trying out these products or services and sharing their opinion of them.
For me, the most interesting thing about Bloguzz is that it automates the process that until now was carried out by some advertising or PR agencies, in such a way that the companies offer their products and the bloggers ask to participate in the review of these products.
Also I think it’s important to emphasize that Bloguzz inculcates between companies and the bloggers a kind of code of conduct related to “the conversation” that will take place in the blogs around the products and services offered by the company.
To conclude, I think it would be worth saying that Bloguzz is not a system of pay per post, nor sale of links, …
And I almost forgot to mention that Bloguzz has a ranking of blogs that will help companies to get an idea of the relative influence of the different blogs.
More information in the FAQ and in the blog of Bloguzz.
Note: I am part of the advisory board of bloggers of Bloguzz.

Well, it’s difficult to differentiate between community and social network, maybe it’s more a question of terminology than real elements. But the point I want to make is that Bitacoras.com has taken one step further to convert itself into a social network for bloggers.
Now in Bitacoras.com, bloggers who add their blogs in the directory, can create their personal profile, add information about their blogs, connect with other users, send notifications of update of their blogs, …
Certainly, now Bitacoras.com is more of a social network like Facebook than a directory of blogs or a portal about the blogosphere, which is what it was when it was conceived.
The question is, is there any sense to creating a social network for bloggers? It would be nice to know what has been the experience of Alianzo in this respect. What I see is that Bitacoras.com is going to turn into a reference for people who are not a part of the blogosphere, and is going to be the point of entry for people to get to know the world of blogs. If they can pull this off, bloggers will be able to see the great utility of Bitacoras.com and will participate in an active way in the social network because it will have a direct benefit in their work with their blogs.
To conclude, here’s my profile in Bitacoras.com

The news of the day in the blogosphere is the new design of Xataka, and for me, that the commercial blog that is the point of reference in Spanish has incorporated social functionalities like: voting of posts, voting of comments and Karma of Commenters.
As you can see, these social functionalities are centered around the conversation that takes place in the comments section, something that is totally logical in a blog with a high level of comments. The subject of voting the posts, the comments and the karma of the users can open up a lot of possibilities. But I can’t avoid saying that in this case, Weblogs SL has fallen short, because in my opinion the community shouldn’t be just based on the comments but rather the user should be given a more predominant role in the blog. I think that since now each user can have a profile, the next logical step would be to have a community page that hosts the profiles of all users and where the users can communicate amongst themselves through private messages and messages to the community.
Another point to emphasize is the importance being given on OpenID, of course I understand the choosing of this option, but I’m unable to see the utility of this system. Does someone fancy giving me private lessons about OpenID?
And about the new design: very clean, pleasing, easy to read, very well integrated advertising, … I would say that I like it a lot, if it weren’t for the fact that it is aligned to the left of the screen, something that for me is quite annoying. My manias?
For sure, it seems to me an important step ahead for Weblogs SL, again pioneering in the hispanic blogosphere and I suppose, as Julio and Antonio comment, slowly they will go on developing new functionalities to promote the community around their blogs.
